President's Report

Dear AFP Colleagues,

We are off to a busy start this year! 

In January, we welcomed Lynne Wester, the Donor Relations Guru, with a record-breaking crowd for an Annual Giving Summit.  If you missed the Summit, or even if you didn’t, I would highly recommend checking out her blog here.  Lynne was an outstanding speaker and left us with many ideas on how to connect with our donors. 

Last week, the Board of Directors met to begin planning and creating our goals for this year.  We have many exciting changes coming and some big goals to meet!  I encourage everyone to stay tuned to our website and e-blasts as we begin transitioning to a new website in March.  Also, make sure you connect with us on Facebook here to stay up to date on our meetings and events! 

One very important goal we have added this year is to give more back to our members by increasing the number of scholarships offered through our local AFP chapter.  This is a great member benefit, and with the increased focus in this area, I would highly encourage all of our members to check out the scholarship requirements and consider taking advantage of this opportunity.  These scholarships can be utilized for AFP conferences and programs, as well as other educational programs, conferences and courses put on by other professional development groups.  For more information on this, take a look here.  

We are taking a hard look at the benefits we are offering our members this year and hope to add even more value to this.  Stay tuned for more member features to come this year!

Winter Blues Promotion:

Please also let us know a date when you would like us to remove the posting (if not notified otherwise the position will remain listed for 30 days).  Current job listings are also included in the monthly e-newsletter, and on the AFP Greater Louisville Chapter Facebook Page.  

Effective April 2014, the price for a job listing is $25 if the hiring organization has an employee who is an AFP member in good standing. The price for a job listing is $50 if the hiring organization does not have an employee who is an AFP member in good standing. The fee is due at the time of the listing request.   

AFP Greater Louisville reserves the right to refuse any job listing deemed inappropriate.
